4th of July

We had a particularly interesting 4th of July this year.  We started off with a bike parade from the post office to the park, after which we left for Nashville where we spent the rest of the day.  We had bought some fireworks to enjoy in Nashville while we waited for the fireworks show to begin, but because of the rain we were unable to use them.  So the next night we got out the sparklers and several fun fireworks for the kids.  It was one of our more interesting 4th of July's!

Victoria turns 4!

For Tory's birthday, we had a small party with two of her friends from church.  We went swimming and then came home and played on the swings and played some games together before heading inside to have pizza and Hello Kitty cupcakes.  We opened presents and then the girls went upstairs to play with the presents and make lots of noise running around and screaming!

Fishing Trip

The ward had a father-child fishing expedition one Saturday.  Tory and I went shopping together while Jared took the boys out to the fishing hole.  He also took Reed and his brother and sister as their dad wasn't able to come.  They had fun, but unfortunately they did not catch anything.  Some of the other families caught a few fish and were showing them off until Jared told them that it was catch and release only.  They were pretty disappointed as they had been looking forward to showing off their fish to their mom.

Jared took the boys for a bike ride around some of the new construction areas where they are starting to put in new roads.  It is really fun to ride bikes around there because of the smooth dirt roads.  It can also, however, be a little muddy after it rains, as Jared quickly found out!
